Students pay into your academy's MercadoPago account. DojoTally only creates the payment link and, when the payment comes in, credits it automatically to the student's account. The money goes straight to your account.

Connecting the account
- In MercadoPago · Live payments, tap Connect account.
- MercadoPago opens: sign in with the academy's account and accept the permission.
- You return to DojoTally with the account connected. The connection renews itself.
MercadoPago · Test is for trying things out with a test account, with no real money.
How students pay
- From their portal, with the pay button.
- With the link included in fee and balance notices.
- By asking the agent for the link on WhatsApp.
- When signing up online, for the first fee.
MercadoPago charges in pesos, reais and the other Latin American currencies (in Brazil, Pix too). If you connect more than one payment gateway, each charge goes through the one that handles its currency: MercadoPago first, then Stripe, then Authorize.net.
Automatic debit
With the account connected, further down in Payments you can check Offer automatic debit to students. The student authorizes their card once in MercadoPago and the fee is debited automatically. DojoTally still creates the charges; the debit pays them, and the amount updates automatically when the fee changes.
- The student turns it on or cancels it from their portal.
- From their profile, you can create the link to authorize the card and send it to them on WhatsApp, update the amount or cancel it.
